Is This Nightmare For Real?

I believe this should help put into focus the problem we as a nation are struggling to comprehend and hopefully it can be seen by the masses before it’s to late.

January 20, 2009- In his first inaugural address President Barack Hussein Obama stated the following;

On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.  On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn-out dogmas that for
far too long have strangled our politics.  We remain a young nation.  But in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things.  The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea passed on from generation to generation:  the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all
deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.

The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works — whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified.  Where the answer is yes, we intend to move forward.  Where the answer is no, programs will end.  And those of us who manage the public’s dollars will be held to account, to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day, because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with the sturdy alliances and enduring convictions.  They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please.  it is ultimately the faith and determination of the American people upon which this nation relies.

And on January 21st 2013 he said this in his 2nd inaugural speech;

The patriots of 1776 did not fight to replace the tyranny of a king with the privileges of a few or the rule of a mob.  They gave to us a republic, a government of, and by, and for the people, entrusting each generation to keep
safe our founding creed.

For we, the people, understand that our country cannot succeed when a shrinking few do very well and a growing many barely make it.  We, the people, still believe that enduring security and lasting peace do not require perpetual war. We will show the courage to try and resolve our differences with other nations peacefully.

They are the words of citizens and they represent our greatest hope.  You and I, as citizens, have the power to set this country’s course.  You and I, as citizens, have the obligation to shape the debates of our time — not only with the votes we cast, but with the voices we lift in defense of our most ancient values and enduring ideals.

OK, now for an average Joe’s opinion.

As of today I see our country standing admist conflict not only without but within our borders concerning this president. In my lifetime there has been no other president I can recall who wanted to bring our country to its knees with as much gusto as Obama. Sure there have been mistakes aplenty by presidents such as Nixon and Carter on up through the ranks but let’s keep our focus on the present cluster f%@k we are facing.

In his first address to the nation it was said the question wasn’t if the government was too big or too small but if it worked. Well in my eyes the answer is an astounding NO! He also stated that when programs fail they should be replaced to keep vital trust between the government and the people. And quoting Obama “They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us  to do as we please.” He was talking about our forefathers. And I think he should review this statement with serious conviction!

In his second inaugural address he told us  ” We, the people, still believe that enduring security and lasting peace do not
require perpetual war. We will show the courage to try and resolve our differences with other nations peacefully. You and I, as citizens, have the power to set this country’s course.  You and I, as citizens, have the obligation to shape the debates of our time — not only with the votes we cast, but with the voices we lift in defense of our most ancient values and enduring ideals.

So am I right in listening to his words and thinking he should stick to them? We don’t need or want a man in the most powerful office of the world telling the rest of the world that he doesn’t have to abide by the rules because he wants to go down in history as an influence of change. His change is no longer accepted!

Yes, I along with most citizens want hope over fear but with the way things are being done up on the hill and inside the white house can’t we agree that the change we had hoped for isn’t what we are getting. Can we as a people enforce the change we want? If the answer is yes, then brothers and sisters we need to make a change now! Impeachment has worked for this country in the past and once again it is upon us to decide this simple fact; Can we ideally stand by while a mockery is continuing to be made of our government and wait for more destruction to happen? Do we as a people want the rest of the world to rain hell down on us because we were so determined to place a black man in office we didn’t care what he wanted to do to us and our country? And no this is not racial but rather singling out one man that has not and can not run our government with anything more than his personal agenda. We don’t need another war or conflict but what we do need is a leader that has our wants and needs in mind instead of his own. There was another person in history that had this kind of power and abused it and look at the results. [HITLER] Can we stand by and wait for destruction to come to a boil, because the water is past warm already people.
