About Me Pt 1

Hello my friends! Sorry about not being on here for a while but I have been swamped with my full-time job and trying to open my web site store. There’s been very much news out since I posted last and I will touch some of these if I get to it.

I under went surgery in October for what I thought was a routine hernia op but when they opened me up they found Swiss cheese like holes in my stomach wall so it turned into a 4 hour op with major intestine removal, about a foot. That laid me up for a bit and I still have pain around the scarring tissue but I am getting accustomed to this as this was the fourth such operation I’ve had in six years! This all started back in March 2007 when I was walking through my house and a shot like I’ve never felt brought me to the ground in extreme pain. When I went to Redi-Med they talked to me and gave me penicillin to take, sent me home and went on their way. About two days later I visited another doctor and he took x-rays and told me get to the nearest emergency room as fast as possible. Once there they preformed a cat-scan and found I had diverticulitis and had an abscess on my lower colon the size of an orange! To put this in perspective the wall of my intestines have small pouches along them about the size of the quick on a fingernail. They admitted me and stuck a drain tube in it for a week and sent me home. [Ah the benefits of having no insurance].  I returned to work [in 90 day probation period] and with in three days the pain was so intense I went to the nearest emergency room [different hospital] and they did another cat scan but this time they admitted me and prepared for surgery. Five days later I awoke in ICU and had a colostomy.

Dr. Harris, the one who preformed the operation told me he took 4′ of intestine out and had to leave the stoma in place for four months before opening me up again to re-connect it. Ok says me.  I was in ‘ pain for about three months and went back to receive the gift of being whole again but after another major surgery I awoke to find the bag still attached and the doctor telling me I would have to wear it the rest of my life. Needless to say this sent me into a deep depression and made me very self-conscious about the whole ordeal. I went back to an old job I had of driving dump truck and in the process of two years I got six hernia’s in my stomach and couldn’t work anymore because of the pain I lived with daily from the stoma not being placed right and the hernia’s.

I relocated to another state to be close to family for support and applied for disability and after two years of decisions from our government was denied through the whole process. This added to the problems already bouncing around this altered brain and got me thinking about suicide and trying unsuccessfully which landed me in a rubber room for a minute. When I finally got out I went to the free clinic in town to get some bags to use and a doctor seen me and referred me to a specialist. He took another cat scan and did some other tests and after getting all the medical records from Baptist South said I should have never of had this colostomy in the first place.

Round Three! I went in for a take down reversal which evidently the other doctor knew nothing about and woke this time with my exhaust back behind me where it belongs. I felt great [sore] but great knowing I didn’t have to wear that damn bag anymore! I praise Dr. Marks for this and as soon as he cut me loose to find employment my step dad dies on Valentine’s day so I moved into Mother‘s to care for her as she is suffering from Alzheimer’s and can’t care for herself. This was three years ago come sweetheart’s day and mom is 90 years on this planet. I was visiting my doc for a problem I have in my throat and as she gave me a routine check finding a hernia which brings me back to now.

Since I can’t leave mom alone for any amount of time and can not afford professional care I am trying to start an online retail store for glass pipes and other smoking accessories. I have a site almost finished and product in stock so am looking at a soft opening in February with a grand opening to follow. I still have work to do on it but am satisfied that all is going smoothly at this point.

If you would like to visit my shop there is a link on this site to carry you over to it. If you do go please leave me feedback on what you think of it.

Either way may everyone who drops in have a Happy Christmas from beibejones views and clues and wwww.uncspipeshop.com

Thanx to all and until next time peace, Beibe
